Who we are

Agro & More Agribusiness Developers Ltd ("Agro & More", "we") operates the Agro & More mobile app and platform, which connects smallholder farmers in Uganda with farm inputs, agronomic advisory, produce buyers, and related services. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the app and how we use it.

Information we collect

Account details: your name, phone number, email address, district/sub-county, and role (farmer, agent, field officer, or diaspora buyer).
Farm details (farmers): village, age range, crops grown, and farm size, to tailor advisory and services.
Professional details (agents & field officers): national ID number, education and experience, districts covered, and bank or mobile-money payout details for commissions.
Orders & payments: the products you order, delivery details you enter (location, receiver, phone), and payment references. Card/mobile-money payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.
Usage & device data: basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service (e.g. sign-in events).

How we use it

To create and manage your account and verify sign-ins (one-time codes by email or SMS).
To process orders, deliveries, payouts, and produce listings.
To provide advisory services, including AI-assisted features (e.g. crop diagnosis) and connections to field officers.
To send you service notifications (order updates, approvals, announcements) in the app.
To keep the platform safe, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the platform — payment processing (Pesapal), SMS delivery, secure data hosting (Supabase), and AI processing for advisory features — and with Agro & More staff (outlet, field, and administrative teams) who need it to serve you. If you contact us on WhatsApp, your use of WhatsApp is governed by WhatsApp's own terms.

Storage and security

Your data is stored in a secured cloud database with role-based access controls. Access is limited to authenticated staff on a need-to-know basis.

Retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights & deleting your account

You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. To request account deletion, contact us via either channel below with the phone number or email you registered with; we will verify the request and delete your account and personal data within 30 days, except records we are legally required to keep (e.g. completed payment records).

Children

The app is intended for adults engaged in farming and agribusiness. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
